In November 2023, a pivotal moment unfolded when Anita, our founder, discovered Kitamaduni, a grassroots organization in Uganda led by Charles Bikorwomuhangi. Though Kitamaduni had already been working tirelessly for years—providing education, food, and shelter to young children and teen mothers—the organization was in urgent need of support. The building used as a school was deteriorating and doubled as a nighttime shelter for teen mothers and their infants. With no access to clean water, the community was forced to rely on muddy sources, putting their health at constant risk.

Moved with compassion and conviction, Anita personally stepped in, donating her own funds and rallying support from friends and family. Through these collective efforts, two buildings were fully renovated, a dedicated shelter home for teen mothers—the Naseem Azariah Shelter Home—was purchased, and a water filtration system was installed to provide safe, clean drinking water. As she furnished the classrooms and helped rebuild hope within the community, Anita felt a divine prompting to establish a nonprofit that could sustain and expand this work. From this calling, the Yireh Pour Trust Foundation was born—its name and logo inspired by the image of overflowing, pouring hands, representing the abundant grace and provision of God meant to be shared with others.

A Little About Charles and Grace – Founders and Operations In-Charge of Kitamaduni

Charles and Grace are the heart and hands behind Kitamaduni. Charles, a dedicated police officer in Uganda, and his wife Grace, his unwavering partner in both life and mission, are parents to three beautiful children of their own and another on the way! Together, they selflessly extend their love and resources to care for vulnerable children and teen mothers in their community.

Despite limited means, Charles and Grace have faithfully used much of their own income to provide food, shelter, and education to those in need. Their compassion, humility, and tireless dedication make them two of the kindest and most generous people one could ever meet. Their lives are a testament to the power of love in action—sharing their small blessings to make a big difference.
