Clean Water: A Basic Right, Not a Privilege
April 2024
Everyone deserves access to clean, safe drinking water—yet for many communities in Uganda, this basic necessity is still a daily struggle. While Kitamaduni was fortunate to have a well, the water it produced was muddy and unsafe for drinking, posing serious health risks to the children and teen mothers.
Recognizing this urgent need, our next step was to install a proper water filtration system. Thanks be to God’s provision, by April 2024, Kitamaduni had its first fully functional filtration system in place.
Today, the children, staff, and residents of the shelter home can drink clean, safe water—something we often take for granted in the U.S., but which is truly life-changing in communities like this. Clean water doesn't just quench thirst—it restores health, dignity, and hope.
Watch as clean, safe water is drawn from the well—transforming daily life for the Kitamaduni community by providing health, dignity, and renewed hope for the future.
